The Office: Infused
The Office: Infused was quite a project. For a few weeks before filming, some colleagues of mine and I brainstormed and wrote a script that we considered "killer". The excitement grew as the day for filming arrived.
We quickly realized that our script was not going to work out as planned. One of the kids cast for the video was not able to make it. So we had to rewrite the script on the fly. Also, the biggest challenge was that the kids just couldn't act. None of them have really acted before. So, their tendency is to look at the camera when they talk. None of them had memorized their lines, so, they were either reading their lines right before hand or just making them up during filming.
All-in-all I think we still ended up with some pretty funny stuff. We had kids play the parts of Michael, Dwight, Pam, Phyllis, Jim, & Ryan. The boy who played Michael was great and the kid who played Dwight lives in his own world - just like in the show.
